Na ind\u00fastria de couro, o \u00e1cido f\u00f3rmico \u00e9 usado no processo de tingimento, limpeza, elimina\u00e7\u00e3o de fungos e como auxiliar no processo de curtimento.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>Armazenagem em silos<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O \u00e1cido f\u00f3rmico \u00e9 utilizado como conservante na armazenagem de alimentos e ra\u00e7\u00f5es verdes.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>Limpeza e desinfec\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O \u00e1cido f\u00f3rmico \u00e9 usado como um aditivo em produtos comerciais de limpeza como: removedores de ferrugem, limpadores multiuso, desengraxantes e produtos de lavanderia profissional. Al\u00e9m disso, \u00e9 utilizado na desinfec\u00e7\u00e3o de barris de madeira para vinho e cerveja, gra\u00e7as \u00e0s suas propriedades bactericidas.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>Dessulfuriza\u00e7\u00e3o de g\u00e1s combust\u00edvel<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Outra aplica\u00e7\u00e3o do \u00e1cido f\u00f3rmico \u00e9 no controle de pH do processo Saarberg-Hoelter-Umwelttecnik (SHU) de dessulfuriza\u00e7\u00e3o de g\u00e1s combust\u00edvel. A maioria dos combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis cont\u00e9m enxofre que, quando queimado, libera no ar o di\u00f3xido de enxofre. O processo SHU consiste em capturar esse enxofre pela passagem do g\u00e1s combust\u00edvel, atrav\u00e9s de uma suspens\u00e3o de pedra calcaria contendo o \u00e1cido f\u00f3rmico. O di\u00f3xido de enxofre reage com a pedra calcaria, formando gesso (sulfato de c\u00e1lcio).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>Coagula\u00e7\u00e3o da borracha<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Um dos usos tradicionais do \u00e1cido f\u00f3rmico \u00e9 na coagula\u00e7\u00e3o da borracha natural, que \u00e9 produzida principalmente no sudeste da \u00c1sia.
